Velma Boggus Mills, age 91, of Tuscumbia died Thursday, October 13, 2016. Visitation will be Monday, 12-2 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Byron Longcrier officiating. Burial will be in Greenview Cemetery.
Mrs. Mills was a native of Belmont, MS and a member of Valdosta Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joe Boggus, second husband, Rayford Mills, infant son, Larry Boggus, son-in-law, Cranford Taylor, brother, Leonard Howell and sisters, Venora Cantrell and Jeanette McCreless.
She is survived by her sons; William Boggus (Jan), David Boggus (Vicky), daughter; Thelma Taylor Hodges (Walter), brother; Jerrel Howell (Myra), sister; Willodean May; eleven grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Trafton Taylor, Trenton Taylor, Clark Boggus, Joe Boggus, Jason Adkins, Cade Adkins, Braden Taylor and Letroy Jeffreys.
