Dorothy T. McGee, 80, of Leighton, AL passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2016. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Friday October 14, 2016 at Valley Grove Baptist Church. The funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Friday at the church. Interment will follow at Colbert Memorial Gardens. Bro. Larry Wright and Bro. Greg Beasley will officiate.
Dorothy was a member of the Valley Grove Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert “Bob” and Lennie Tompkins and nine siblings.
Survivors are her husband of 65 years Jerry B. McGee; sons Gerald B. “Butch” McGee, Jr. (Pam) and Timothy L. McGee (Cheryl); daughters Katherine R. Alexander (Phillip), and JoAnn Nix (Steve); ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Valley Grove Baptist Church Building Fund, the M.S. Society, or your favorite charity.
