James (Jamey) Robert Dawson passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2016. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday October 13, 2016 at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia, AL. The funeral service will be 11:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Old Bethel Cemetery. Greg Beasley will officiate.
He is survived by his mother Sheila Strait of Florence, AL; father Robert Melvin Dawson, Sr. of Leighton; brothers Brian Oneal Mitchell (Brandie), William Norman Mitchell, Eric Dawson (Darlene), Robert Melvin Dawson, Jr. (Lynn); sister Mary Underwood (Mark); a number of aunts and uncles including two special aunts Brenda Fulmer and Nancy Hall; and special friend Marty Nichols.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
