Linda Fay “Granna” Barfield, age 71 of Tuscumbia, died Thursday, October 6, 2016. Visitation will be Saturday, 6-8 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. Her graveside service will be Sunday at 2 p.m. in Community Cemetery with Truman Sutton, Buddy Dover and Richard Holland officiating.
Linda was a native of Sheffield, was a member of the Cowboy Church of Colbert County and was a retired correction officer. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Jesse Carl Rainey.
Survivors include her husband of fifty-one years, Carl E. “Sonny” Barfield; grandson, Austin Bryant Rainey (Tayler Hamm); son, Thomas Rodney Barfield; daughter, Regina Faye Barfield Carmack (Gary) of Tuscumbia; and special niece, Missie Rogers.
Pallbearers are Patrick Gargis, Ronald Lacks, Austin Rainey, Bradley Oswalt, Hunter McCaig, and Cory Carmack.
The family expresses special thanks to the staff of Helen Keller Hospital Palliative Care, Helen Keller Hospice and her many friends and neighbors.
