Funeral services for Mr. Larry Neale Elkins, age 82, are scheduled for 1:00 PM, Saturday, October 8, 2016 at MIddlefork Baptist Church with Bro. Glenn Harris officiating. Graveside services will be held at 2 PM Sunday at Homewood Baptist Church Cemetery in Forest, MS. Pafford Funeral Home of Lexington is in charge of local arrangements. Mr. Elkins passed away early Wednesday in Jackson. He was born February 27, 1934 in Hardin, KY to the late Williams Rouston Elkins and Gracie Ebye Hurt Elkins. He was retired from the U. S. Air Force, was a Church of Christ in belief, and enjoyed watching racing, playing guitar, and guns. He was preceded in death by his numerous brothers and sisters. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Katherine Harris Elkins; two sons, Larry Douglas Elkins (Brenda Kaye) and Howard Elkins; one step-son, Danny Greenway (Pam); one daughter, Sonya Elkins Dugan (Jason); one step-daughter, Kathy Bartholomew (David); one brother, Jerry Elkins; one sister, Doris Hick; four grandchildren; one step grandchild; and three great grandchildren.
