jessie-riggins-1475588041Jessie James Riggins, Jr. 71, of Lacey’s Spring, Alabama died Monday October 3, 2016 at Huntsville Hospital.
Mr. Riggins was born October 7, 1944 in Madison County, Alabama to Jessie James Riggins and Mattie Bea McPeters Riggins. He worked at Teledyne as a production specialist until his retirement. Mr. Riggins was a member of the Union Grove Masonic Lodge # 320 and served twice as the Worshipful Master.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Edna Anderson Riggins; two daughters and a son-in-law: Lisa Riggins McMinnis and Tina Riggins Butler and her husband Donnie Butler; grandchildren: Jesse Noah McMinnis and Elijah Lee “Eli” Butler; four brothers and a sister-in-law: Leon Riggins, Steve and Jan Riggins, Rickey Riggins and Jerry Riggins; two sisters: Mary Faye Etapa and Ann Sanders and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother: Leonard Riggins.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday October 6, 2016 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Brother: Radford Pritchett, officiating. Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery Lacey’s Spring, Alabama with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will be Donnie Butler, Noah McMinnis, Eli Butler, Vaughn Castel, David Green, Dennis Byrd, Elvis Anderson and William Cross Jr.
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Thursday October 6, 2016 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
