Earline Jones May Stephens, age 84, of Florence, passed away Friday, Sept. 30, 2016. Visitation will be today, October 2nd from noon to 2:00 p.m. at Spry~ Williams Funeral Home of Florence. The service will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Kevin Dillon and Brother Barry Gilbreath officiating. Burial will be in Old Macedonia Cemetery. Pallbearers are Elders and men of Jackson Heights Church of Christ. Honorary pallbearers are Zack Golfos, Sidney Bevis, Ronnie Stooksberry, Tommy Edwards and Tommy Jones.
She was a member of Jackson Heights Church of Christ and loved the Lord, helping others, family, traveling with friend, booking, sewing, gardening, quilting, Alabama football, her dogs, and her great-grandchild, John Mayson she called (Whistle Britches and Sput Nik).
Preceding her in death were her husbands, J.D. May and Brooks Stephens; parents, Tom and Rose Jones; siblings, Olan and Porter Jones, Mary Ford, Norma Geans, Leona Brown, Ruth May, Hattie Darby and Tommie Rich.
Survivors are her children, Sheila Hooks (Barry), Tim May, Keith May; stepson, Gary Stephens (Linda); grandchildren, Maggie Hooks and Kacie Golfos (Zack); stepgrandson, Scottie Stephens; great-grandchild, John Mayson Golfos and over 350 nieces and nephews.
