Charles Windsor Dickinson – Obituary

Charles Windsor Dickinson, age 81, of Lynn, Alabama, passed away Saturday, October 1, 2016. He graduated from Lynn High School, where he was all American in Football. Charles was a among the first inducted into the Winston County Sports Hall of Fame, served in the United States Army, attended Ashbank Freewill Baptist Church in Nauvoo, and was a retired Truck Driver.

Visitation will be Monday, October 3, 2016 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Haleyville. Funeral service will be at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Cecil Tidwell officiating.
Burial to follow in Lynn Cemetery.

He is survived by, companion Debra Odom; daughters, Tammy Dickinson Boren, her husband Rickey and Tina Dickinson Gravitt; brothers, Tony Dickinson, his wife Dean and James “Jimmy” Dickinson, his wife Peggy; grandchildren, Benjamin Boren, Amanda Boren, Nathaniel Boren and Terry Lance Gravitt; great grandchildren, Alexander Miranda, Abigail Miranda and Olivia Thundershield; a host of relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Amon and Velma Dodd Dickinson; wife Marie Myers Dickinson.
