Richard N. Layman, age 79, of Owens Cross Roads, Alabama passed away Sunday, September 25, 2016 at his residence. He was born in Knoxville, Tennessee to William Earl and Marie Little Layman. He retired from Monsanto as a chemical engineer. He was preceded in death by his wife G. Faye Hooie Layman and his parents William Earl and Marie Little Layman. He is survived by his son Brad R. Layman and his wife Julia of Lexington, AL, daughters Sylvia Kadlubowski and her husband David of Phoenix, AZ and Laura D. Patrick and her husband Brian of Huntsville, AL and brother Earl R. Layman and his wife Dorcus of Knoxville, TN. Visitation will be Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Huntsville, Al from 10 to 11 am. The funeral service follows at 11 am. Burial will be at Rogersville Civitan Cemetery in Rogersville, Al at 1:30 pm.
