Roy Bennett, 83, passed away Thursday, September 22, 2016, at NMMC in Tupelo. He was born December 27, 1932 to the late Roy Clifford Bennett and the late Ruby Tallant Bennett. He was self-employed for many years as a technician. He enjoyed watching sports.
Services will be 1:00 pm on Monday September 26, 2016 at Senter Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Burks officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 – 8:00 pm on Sunday, Sept. 25 at Senter Funeral Home. Burial will be in Itawamba Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include his wife, Johnnie Bennett of Smithville; Sons: David Bennett of Smithville, Dallas Bennett of Duluth, MN, and Donald (Dawn) Bennett of Beach Park, IL; Grandsons: Brian (Jennifer) Bennett, and Curtis (Kara) Bennett; Granddaughters: Rachel (Matthew) Clancy, Amanda Bennett, and Gracie Bennett; 7 Great grandchildren; Brother, Roy Clifford (Pat) Bennett, Jr. of Starkville; Sisters: Etoyl (Jerry) Allred of TX, Nellie (Jimmy) Gault of Saltillo, and Pattie (Jim) Armstrong of Shannon; brothers-in-law: James Brown of Fulton and Mack Frederick of Huntsville.
Preceded in death by his parents, Sisters: Geraldine Brown and Lillie Frederick; Brothers: Jackie, Jerry, and Jimmy Bennett.
Pallbearers will be Brian Bennett, Curtis Bennett, Jamie Brown, Evan Gault, Steven Frederick.
