Verda Hardesty, 82 of Houston, entered into rest on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at Cullman Regional Medical Center.
Verda was born on May 3, 1934 in Vermont, New York. She was a devoted wife and mother, who spent her time caring for her family.
Visitation will be Monday, September 26, 2016 from 1-2pm at New Home Baptist Church in Moreland, where services will be held at 2pm. Brothers Rick Moody and Johnie Ayers will officiate. Burial will be in the Moreland Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Edward Nelson; sons, Toby Hardesty and Robert Hardesty; daughters, Holly Jones and Cindy Nelson; brother, Edric Bruyette; she was “Granny” to 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
