Robert W. Hill, Sr., 89, of Town Creek will be Thursday, Sept. 22, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Donald Baptist Church with Rev. Jackie Hill and Rev. Hugh Bohlin officiating and Parkway Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. at the church.
Mr. Hill, who died Monday, Sept. 19, 2016, at Helen Keller Hospital, was born Nov. 16, 1926, to Joseph Sherman Hill and Mattie Blaxton Hill. He was a member of Donald Baptist Church and a member of Town Creek Masonic Lodge. He served in the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margie Hill; son, Bobby Hill; five brothers and one sister; one grandson and one granddaughter; and his parents.
Survivors include seven sons, Wayne Hill, Namon Hill, Gene Hill, Chris Hill, Steve Grissom, Bruce Grissom and Greg Grissom; three daughters, Martha Hood, Becky Arnold and Gwen Terry; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Tyler Dickey, Luke Hornsby, Jake Hornsby, Robbie Hill, Brandon Arnold and Keith Hill.
