Michael Thomas Hopkins, age 55, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2016. Visitation will be Sunday, Sept. 18, from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home of Florence. The service will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Henry Melton officiating. Burial will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Stan Hopkins, Steve Hopkins, Wesley Hopkins, Justin Hines, Kenney Neese, and Stephen Boatwright. Ken Irons will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
Mike was a 1979 graduate of Bradshaw High School and was a member of the local No. 760 Plumbers and Steamfitters Union.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James R. and Marie Hopkins.
Survivors are his son, Wesley Hopkins; sisters, Susan Hines and Sandra Porter; brothers, Steve Hopkins (Sheila) and Stan Hopkins (Lydia); nieces, Hannah Hopkins and Andrea Porter; and nephews, Blake and Justin Hines and Marc Hopkins.
