Otis Harlon Bishop – Obituary

Otis Harlon Bishop, 84, died Wednesday, September 14, 2016, at the North Mississippi Medical Center Hospice Unit. He was born November 20, 1931, to Lloyd and Delphia Cooper Bishop. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean War. He was a car salesman and worked at Super Sagless for 25 years. He was a member of the Ozark Methodist Church and a Mason. He enjoyed mowing his yard, gardening, basketball, and NASCAR.

Services will be at 11 a. m. Saturday, September 17, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with Bro. Ray Guin and Minister Carl Dunlap officiating. Burial will be in the Ozark Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Ouida Bishop; one son, Ronny Bishop of Marietta; one daughter, Connie Houston of Saltillo; one sister, Betty Boyce of Baldwyn; two grandchildren, Amanda Poppelreiter and Matt Houston; three great grandchildren, Conner Poppelreiter and Lexie and Brookleigh Morgan.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Bishop; one daughter, Linda Bishop; one step-son, Tim Willis; his parents; and his step-father, Bill Steed.

Pallbearers will be Larry Bishop, Jerry Bishop, Randy Hale, Matt Houston, Jeremy Poppelreiter, and Terry Crafton.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, September 16, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Mantachie.
