Hal Dee Franks, 77, Russellville, AL, passed away on September 14, 2016, at home after a lengthy illness.
A native of Franklin County, AL, Mr. Franks lived his entire life in Russellville and was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. He was retired, having worked at both U.S. Reduction and Gerald’s Metals of Russellville. He was a member of the Cattleman’s Association of Franklin County.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 15, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be on Friday, September 16 at 11:00 a.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church with Bro. Eddie Wix officiating. The body will lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until the service. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Jeannette; children Peggy Seay (Jimmy Dale), Janice Thompson (Jim), Rodney Franks, and Mark Thomas; siblings, Robert Ray Franks and Mattie Sue Taylor. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Nick Seay, April Lucas, Matt Hood, Liz Hood, and Rachel Seay, 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Robert O. and Minnie Dale Franks and Billy Hugh Franks, a brother.
Pallbearers will be Nick Seay, Matt Hood, Kevin Lucas, Dylan Lucas, Milton Hutcheson and Mike Franks. Honorary pallbearer will be Nathan Lucas.
