HUNTSVILLE-The Huntsville Police Department released a statement concerning a drug arrest made by Madison-Morgan County HIDTA Drug Task Force (STAC):
“Agents with the Madison-Morgan County HIDTA Drug Task Force (STAC) have charged 32 year old David Scott of Huntsville with drug trafficking.
The arrest was the result of a search warrant served in the 200 block of Mountain View Drive following a lengthy investigation involving the trafficking of large amounts of high-grade marijuana. The search warrant resulted in the seizure of 127 pounds of high-grade marijuana, 160 pounds of edible marijuana “candy”, psilocybin mushrooms, cocaine, and handgun and over $6,000 in cash. The drugs have an estimated street value of over $1,000,000. Sergeant Jerry King said, “We want the community, and especially parents, to be aware of this type of marijuana candy, and we encourage parents to educate themselves on current drug trends.”
