Grace Hitt Turner, 83, formerly of Decatur, passed away Sunday, Sept. 11, 2016 at Lincoln Care Center in Fayetteville, Tennessee. A Celebration of Life service will be Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2016, at 1 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with Chris Martin officiating.Burial will be in Raper Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Turner was born in Decatur on Dec. 13, 1932 to Burkett and Edith Morgan Hitt. She was a retired office manager and bookkeeper.
She is survived by her son, Mike Turner (Barbara) of Fayetteville, Tennessee; daughter, Sharon McDonald (Barry) of Decatur; stepson, Ronnie C. Turner (Flora) of Florien, Louisiana; grandchildren, Robin Brown, Chane Turner, Rachel Collier, Rebekah Mears, Jared Turner, Patrick Turner, Evan Mitchell and Heath Gilliam; and great-grandchildren, Taylor Jones, Emmy Turner, Gracie Turner, Jakob Day, Tyler Wilson and Tanner Wilson.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
