LAUDERDALE COUNTY-Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department deputies are conducting an investigation into the death of a body discovered near the Underwood Community near the intersection of Price Drive and County Road 7 .
The body was discovered at a residence on Wednesday, September 7 an investigation is ongoing into the man’s cause of death. The victim’s body had been in the ditch for several days and was starting to decompose.
According to investigators the body is that of a male between 30-40 years-old. How the victim died has yet to be determined.
The body will be sent to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences for identification and to determine the cause of death.
