James Monroe Gilliam, age 80, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at his residence. He was a native of Summertown, TN, retired from Publix Markets, and attended Springer Road Church of Christ. He was also a member of Masonic Lodge #249 in Sebring, FL, Egypt Shriners in Tampa, FL, and Florida Sheriff’s Association. The family would like to extend a special invitation to all Shriners and Masons for the night of visitation.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel H. and Annie Bates Gilliam; and one brother, William H. Gilliam.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday, September 04, 2016 at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Monday, September 05, 2016. Interment will follow at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens in Lawrenceburg, TN. Family suggests memorials to Shriners Hospitals for Children.
