Funeral service for Mike Haynie, 47, of Somerville, will be Thursday September 1, 2016 at 11:00AM at Peck Funeral Home with Pastor Craye Haynie officiating. Burial will be at the Valhermoso Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday August 31, 2016 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Haynie died Friday August 26, 2016 at his residence. He was born May 7, 1969 in Santa Monica, California to Milton Lee Haynie and Elizabeth Pearl White Haynie. He was employed with Wayne Farms. Mike was a husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was also a volunteer firefighter for Brindlee Mountain and had previously volunteered for the Somerville and Talucah stations. Mr. Haynie attended Valhermoso Baptist Church. Formerly, before moving to Alabama, he led and taught the Royal Rangers at Arleta Assembly of God in Arleta, California. Mr. Haynie was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, David Haynie.
