Mr. James Carr Phillips, Sr., 76, died Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at Golden Living Center in Tupelo, MS, following an extended illness. He was born March 2, 1940, in Boone, North Carolina, to Grant Edward Phillips and Ruby Houck Phillips. He worked in the furniture manufacturing industry for many years, the last employment being with Broyhill Furniture Mfg. before retiring.
