Dorothy G. “Dottie” Holliday, age 83 of Arab, Alabama, died Thursday August 28, 2016 at Barfield Health Care in Guntersville, Alabama.
Dottie was born September 21, 1932 in Marshall County to James Oscar Green and Sarah Annie Pesnell Green. She was a Technical Supervisor for Beowulf Inc. in Huntsville Alabama until her retirement.
She was a member of New Brashiers Chapel United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law: Donald Wayne and Cathy Townson; daughters and sons-in-law: Barbara Anne Townson and Donald Smith, Cindy Morrow and Tony Walker and Glen DuPree; eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law: Lyle and Sue Green; sisters and brother-in-law: Clara Mae Mattison, Fran and Tom Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband’s: Grover Cleveland Townson Jr. and Donald Ray Morrow; her son Danny Ray Morrow; a daughter: Tammy Morrow DuPree; parents: James and Sarah Green; sisters: Rhoma Hyde, Harriett Williamson and Myra Bolding; brothers: Clarence Green, Wendell Green, J.P. Green and Lewis Green.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday August 22, 2016 at New Brashiers Chapel United Methodist Church with Brothers: Tommy Gray and Randy Blakely officiating. Burial will be in Brashiers Chapel Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Sunday August 21, 2016 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel. She will also lie in state from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the church.
