Rather Fountain, Jr., 77, of Leighton, AL passed away Thursday, August 11, 2016. A Memorial Service will be Monday, August 15, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. at Washington Park Baptist Church with Barry Smallwood officiating.
Rather was of Baptist Faith, He was a retired Carpenter in the Shoals area for many years. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He will be missed dearly by his family.
Preceded in death by parents, Rather and Edna Fountain; wife of 54 years, Betty Fountain; sons, Jamie and Michael Fountain; grandson, Cody Fisher.
Survivors are sons, Eugene Fountain (Malia), Gilbert Fountain, Rodney Fountain, Jeffrey Fountain (Hye- Kyoung), and Joseph Fountain; daughters, Angela Charles (Lamarr), and Rhonda James (Ronnie); sister, Mary White; 12 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; host of loving nieces, nephews, and other family members.
