Funeral services for Granville Russell Woodruff Sr., 81, of Hartselle, will be held on Saturday, Aug. 13, 2016, at 3 p.m. at West Hartselle Baptist Church with Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in the Hartselle Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday at the church.
Mr. Woodruff died Aug. 10, 2016 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born on Nov. 25, 1934, in Kentucky to William Wallace Woodruff and Claudia Mae Green Woodruff. He was a Research Chemist for the City of Huntsville prior to his retirement. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Bobby Gene Woodruff.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Woodruff; two sons, Jeff Woodruff (Beth) and Russell Woodruff, (Charlene); one brother, Wallace Morris Woodruff (Linda); six grandchildren, Carrie Woodruff Langston, (Heath), Jessica Woodruff Higdon, (Chance), Zackary Woodruff, (Tori), Chelsea Woodruff, Audrey Anne Woodruff and J.T. Woodruff; seven great-grandchildren , Sawyer Langston, Fisher Langston, Jayden Cash Higdon, Brooks Higdon, Reese Marie Woodruff, Ezekiel Zachariah Woodruff, and Emeri Suzanne Woodruff
