Joseph Gary Reed, age 60, of Killen, died Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2016. His family will receive friends Saturday, from 3-5 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will follow at 5 p.m. in the church sanctuary with Brother Darrell Pace officiating.
Mr. Reed was a child of God and a faithful member and deacon at Calvary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph L. Reed.
Survivors include his wife of forty years, Toysan Reed; mother, Patricia Nadine Letson Reed, of Montgomery; daughter, Patti Reed James (Michael), of Priceville; sons, Matthew Reed (Averee), of Cameron, North Carolina, and Christian Reed (Candice), of Tupelo, Mississippi; and grandchildren, Rebecca, Josiah, David, Emma Kate, Anna Claire and Joseph.
Mr. Reed was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, St Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
