Florence Police Caution Business Owners To Be Aware of “Novelty Money”

FLORENCE-The Florence Police Department released a statement concerning the passing of “For Motion Picture Use Only” novelty money:

“There has been and is still occurring a HUGE influx of “For Motion Picture Use Only” novelty money being passed in our area.   These bills look like real money but are intended for novelty use only. They do react to money markers (the counterfeit pens) and say “For Motion Picture Use Only” in big letters on the top of each piece of paper. Business owners should take an extra moment to inspect any bills that they take to insure that they aren’t being scammed.”
