Arlis-Stacy-1470751209Arlis R. Stacy, age 83, of Tuscumbia died Monday, August 8, 2016. His family will receive friends Wednesday, 11-1 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home Tuscumbia. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Seth Hood officiating. Burial will be in Shoals Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Stacy was a resident of Tuscumbia most of his life and was a member of First Baptist Church, Colbert Heights. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War and was retired from Reynolds Metals after thirty-two years of service. He was a member of Machinist Local #1189 and was a past Deacon. He was preceded in death by his wife Inez Garrett Stacy; parents, Orville Washington and Ethel Mae King Stacy; brothers, Glenn Stacy, Vulon Stacy, Ubert Stacy; and sister, Clois Stacy.
Survivors include his sons; Joe Stacy and wife Ann, James Stacy and wife Diane, all of Tuscumbia; daughter, Arlisa Stacy Thompson and husband Terry of Sheffield; seven grandchildren, Johanna Stacy Robertson (Harley), Elizabeth Stacy, Katharine Stacy, Austin Stacy, Nathaniel Stacy, Stacy Thompson and Zane Thompson; one great-grandson, Xander Maddox Robertson.
Pallbearers are O’Neal Woods, Ellis Stacy, James King, Randy Stacy, Nathaniel Stacy and Austin Stacy.
The Stacy family would like to express very special thanks to Dr. Andre’ Taylor, Helen Keller fourth floor nurse, Amy, Helen Keller Hospice and Keller Home Care.
