Arlis R. Stacy, age 83, of Tuscumbia died Monday, August 8, 2016. His family will receive friends Wednesday, 11-1 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home Tuscumbia. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Seth Hood officiating. Burial will be in Shoals Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Stacy was a resident of Tuscumbia most of his life and was a member of First Baptist Church, Colbert Heights. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War and was retired from Reynolds Metals after thirty-two years of service. He was a member of Machinist Local #1189 and was a past Deacon. He was preceded in death by his wife Inez Garrett Stacy; parents, Orville Washington and Ethel Mae King Stacy; brothers, Glenn Stacy, Vulon Stacy, Ubert Stacy; and sister, Clois Stacy.
Survivors include his sons; Joe Stacy and wife Ann, James Stacy and wife Diane, all of Tuscumbia; daughter, Arlisa Stacy Thompson and husband Terry of Sheffield; seven grandchildren, Johanna Stacy Robertson (Harley), Elizabeth Stacy, Katharine Stacy, Austin Stacy, Nathaniel Stacy, Stacy Thompson and Zane Thompson; one great-grandson, Xander Maddox Robertson.
Pallbearers are O’Neal Woods, Ellis Stacy, James King, Randy Stacy, Nathaniel Stacy and Austin Stacy.
