Carol L. Oswalt, 67, passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2016, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. She was born March 18, 1949 to the late Lemois Johnson and the late Ripple Wood Johnson. She was elementary school teacher in the Lee County School System for 31 years, 21 years at Verona Elementary Schools and 10 years at Mooreville Elementary School. She completed her Bachelor’s Degree in elementary education at Mississippi State University. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church where she served as church clerk and also played the piano and organ for over 50 years.

Services will be at 11:00 am on Saturday August 13, 2016 at Senter Funeral Home with Bro. Gene O’Brian, and Bro. Terry Paul Graham officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday August 12, 2016 at Senter Funeral Home.
Senter Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family with the artrangements.
Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Lemois Oswalt of Fulton Son, Dr. Matthew (Dr. Christy) Oswalt of Tupelo, Grandchildren, Colin Oswalt, Brynn Oswalt, and Owen Oswalt, all of Tupelo, 3 Aunts, Hildred Howell, Eva Lois Johnson, Mondell Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Grandparents, , John E. Johnson, Catherine McKee Johnson, and F.M. Wood, Grandmother, Sally Carpenter Wood.
Pallbearers will be Wesley O’Brian, Chris Stanphill, Jeff Holt, Bobby Wood, Larry Cromeans, Brad Norris, Sandy Russell.

Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Sheffield, Ricky Thomas, Harold Russell, Elvin Graham, Frank Vanasselberg, Eddie Cooley, Nick Humber.
