Shirley Faye James, age 70, passed from this earth Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2016.
The family will receive friends for visitation today from 1-3 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 3 p.m. in the chapel with Tommy Ferguson and Keith Davis officiating. The burial will follow at Greenview Memorial Park.
Shirley was a faithful member and deacon’s wife at Central Baptist Church and was retired from H.D. Lee.
She was preceded in death by her life-long best friend and loving husband of 51 years, Jimmy. Also preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Annie B. Davis, and several brothers and sisters.
Shirley and Jimmy had three children, Tony (Joli), Trent (Sophia), and Paige (Jon). Left behind are ten grandchildren, Matt (Kristen), Maggie (Kyle), Chase (Steve), Casey, Sydney, Julia, Cecelia, Peyton, Maddox, and Lucas, and four great-grandchildren, Ella, Charlee, Ryder, and Maddie Kate.
Shirley is also survived by her sister, Judy (Jimmy) Lane; sisters-in-law, Barbara Davis and Norma Davis; and special friend and niece, Vicki Nobles.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
Heaven has gained a beautiful angel and Shirley will be missed by all who knew her. The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses in the emergency department and the CCU at ECM.
