Mary Ford Pheny, 57, died peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, on Aug. 2, 2016. She was the daughter of the late Richard Alexander Bryson Jr. and Vivian Stanley Garrett Bryson. She graduated from Montverde Academy and attended Huntingdon College. She was born on Sept. 11, 1958 and was a lifelong member of St. John’s Episcopal Church.
She is survived by her husband, Judson Connor Pheny Jr., daughter, Elizabeth Garrett Pheny and son, Judson Connor Pheny III, all of Hartselle. Also survived by sisters, Vivian Anne Bryson Easterling of Tuscaloosa and Peggy Bryson Altman of Asheville, North Carolina, and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family would like to especially thank her caregiver, Sara Rankin and her nurse, Jewel Ann Mills of Alacare Home Health & Hospice.
Funeral service will be Friday, Aug. 5. 2016, at St. John’s Episcopal Church at 202 Gordon Drive SE.
