Doris “Nana” Gowen, 87, passed away July 24, 2016 at her home in Decatur. She is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Gowen and her son, Kenneth Jr.
She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Niemeier; son, Johnny “Judy” Gowen. She had five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Friday, Aug. 5, 2016, at 6:30 p.m. at her beloved church, Vintage Faith Church. Expressions of sympathy may be made to her church, 411 Sherman St. NE, Decatur, AL 35601 or Hospice of the Valley.
