Rayburn Walker – Obituary

Mr. Rayburn Walker, a native of Scottsboro, passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2016, in Florence where he had lived for the last 40 years.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Scottsboro Funeral Home with the Rev. Donna King officiating. Burial will follow in Goosepond Cemetery. The family will receive friends from noon until time of service today.

Mr. Walker is survived by his fiancee, Robbie Whitehead; siblings, W.C. Walker, Jerry Walker (Gail), Anita Walker, and Betty Walker; nieces and nephews, Shelly Hancock (Lenn), Billy Walker, Kelly Walker (Lee Ann), Allen Walker, Becky Thompson, and Ashley Benefield; and great-niece, Harltey (Evan) Pritchett.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William C. and Eloise Walker, and brother, Jack Gary Walker.

Mr. Walker was a veteran of the United States Navy.
