Charles E. McGraw, age 78 of Athens passed away Thursday, July 28, 2016 at Madison Hospital. Mr. McGraw was born on February 12, 1938 in Limestone County to Charter and Evelyn Hurn McGraw.
Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty McGraw; sister, Juanita Miller; brothers, Alvis McGraw, Houston McGraw, and James McGraw.
Mr. McGraw is survived by his son, Andy McGraw (Jamie) of Athens; daughter, Deborah Holt (Mike) of Culleoka, TN; four grandchildren, Keith Holt (Cathey), Kevin Holt, Casey Holt (Ashlee), and Ashley McGraw; six great-grandchildren, Cayden, Bob, Landon, Kaylee, Maddox, and Jax Holt; one brother, Doyce McGraw (Millisa); and special friends, Ed and Evelyn Jackson, and Morris and Geneva Nelson.
Services for Mr. McGraw will be Sunday, July 31, 2016 at 2:00PM at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Doug McCurry and Randy Johnson officiating. The family will receive visitors from 6-9 on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Limestone Chapel. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Keith Holt, Kevin Holt, Casey Holt, David Alexander, and Kenny Gatlin. Honorary pallbearers are Houston Bumpus, Ed Jackson, and Doc Downs.
