Mr. Thurston Filo Doss, age 75 of Haleyville, Alabama passed away, Monday, July 25, 2016.
He had lived in this area all of his life and had worked for Dr. Pepper and Tom’s Snack Goods. He was known as the “Peanut Man”. He was a member of Church of God 7th Day.
A Gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday, July 26, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home-Haleyville, Alabama. A Memorial Service will be at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Walt Bennett officiating.
Mr. Doss is survived by his wife, Simmie Morgan Doss; children, Debra Cornelius, Barry (Polly)Doss and Mark (Becky) Doss; sister, Frances Tidwell; grandchildren, Jacob (Reanna) Cornelius, Zachary Cornelius, Anna Cornelius, Jeremy (Rachel) Doss, Shae (BJ) Hallman, Dana (Kenny)Walker, Brandon (Britney) Green, Blake Doss and Kyle Doss; 8 great grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents, Filo Doss and Jessie Gentles Doss; brothers and sister, James Doss, Roy Doss and Linda Doss.
