Gordon Terry Marlin, 59, passed away Monday, July 25, 2016, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo after a five year battle with cancer. He was born in Tupelo to the late Gordon Jack Marlin and Emma Grace Marlin on May 8, 1957. He graduated from Itawamba Agricultural High School and worked at DayBrite Lighting for 38 years as a production planner. He attended the Fawn Grove Free Will Baptist Church, and loved spending time with his grandchildren, Parker and Marley.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 27, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with Bro. Terry Booker officiating. Burial will be in the Fawn Grove Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife Lila Marlin; children Chris Marlin and Heather Humphries (Courtney); grandchildren Parker and Marley; sister Ima Bean; niece Sally Rodden (Aaron) of Conway, AR; nephew John Beam; and mother-in-law Lois Comer.
He was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Emma Grace; and his father-in-law Charles Comer.
Pallbearers include Perry Franks, Phillip Marlin, Andy Spradling, James Marlin, Ralph Marlin, and Riley Farris.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 26, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Fawn Grove Church Building Fund or Cemetery Fund, 1333 Fawn Grove Church Rd., Mantachie, MS 38855.
