Betty Faye Thornton Brewer, 78 of Harvest, Alabama died on Thursday, July 21, 2016, at her home.
Born Thursday, May 12, 1938 in Ardmore, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Acie Houston Thornton and the late Minnie Ruth Walden Thornton. She was a resident of the Harvest area and was a member of Harvest Church of Christ. She loved gardening and enjoyed being a caregiver. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: RW Thornton, Billy Thornton and Douglas Thornton, and sisters: Vera Slayton, Doris Dodson, Fannie Oliver, Marvelene Emerson, and Levonia King.
Surviving are son, Tracy and wife Nikki Brewer of Harvest, AL, daughter, Becky and husband Chris Black of Harvest, AL, grandchildren: Ethan and Kelsey Brewer of Harvest, AL, Brittany Black McGuire of Charleston, SC, and Cody Black of Jacksonville, NC, sister: Mary Thornton Hopkins and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 23, 2016, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama with Bro. Greg Tucker officiating. Burial will be in Ford’s Chapel Cemetery, Harvest, AL.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, July 22, 2016, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama.
