ARDMORE-Many may not know but Ardmore Alabama-Tennessee is the Crape Myrtle Capital of the South and each year the community celebrates with the Crape Myrtle Festival. The festival hosted by the Greater Ardmore Chamber of Commerce will be in John Barnes Park in Ardmore Tennessee on the north side of Main Street between Hamlett Street and Ardmore Ridge Road on Saturday July 23rd.
The festival will have new hours this year from 10:00AM-8:00PM and will feature a variety of food trucks, shaved ice, frozen lemonade and ice cream vendors will keep the family full and cool. Over 53 craft and sales booths will be set up for attendees to enjoy and shop while at the festival.
The Children’s area will have inflatables, water slides, and train rides. There will even be “knockerball” there — the inflatable ball that can be worn for playing games or rough-housing.
A variety of musical talent will perform including The Servant’s Quartet at 4:00PM, Just Down the Road at 5:00PM, and The Flashbacks with special guest Limestone Creek at 6:00PM.
Admission is free with donations welcome and gates open at 10:00AM.
