Vanessa Oliver Butler Braidfoot, 65, passed away July 19, 2016, at Helen Keller Hospital after a sudden illness. Vanessa was a retired nurse and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt. She was so loved by all who knew her, and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her husband, Duane Braidfoot; one daughter, Allison Beason; a son, Todd Butler; two grandchildren, Amber Butler Ledbetter and her husband, Jeremy, and Kelly Beason; a great-grandson, Conner Ledbetter; four brothers, Wyatt Oliver (Kaye), Anthony Oliver (Susan), Bryan Oliver (Kelli), and Scott Oliver (Lana); and one sister-in-law, Judy Oliver; and a host of nieces, nephews, and loving aunts.
Vanessa was preceded in death by her husband, Don Butler; her parents, Lyndon and Irene Jeffreys Oliver; and two brothers, Gary Oliver and Keith Oliver.
Visitation for Vanessa will be today from 6-8 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Friday, July 22, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home Chapel, with burial in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens. Brother Francis Proctor and Brother Jonathan Proctor will be officiating.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
