John Wess Stutts, Jr., 85, of Smyrna, TN, passed away July 10, 2016 at Adams Place in Murfreesboro, TN. Mr. Stutts was a life-long resident of the Greenhill, AL community and retired from Reynolds Metals Co. He was a member of Midway Church of Christ. Mr. Stutts was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War.
He is survived by sons Mark Stutts (Debbie) of Ringgold, GA and Ronald Stutts of Atlanta, GA; daughter Susan Schackmann (Jerry) of Smyrna, TN; sister Mary Beth Campbell of Florence, AL; granddaughters Audra Bingham of Murfreesboro and Ashley Sledge of Nashville, TN; great-grandson Connor Bingham; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by wife Bethel Stutts; parents John Stutts, Sr. and Emma Jo Stutts; sisters Louise Higgins and Olive Morris; and brothers Clifford, Dual, and Joseph Stutts.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 13, 2016 from 12:00-1:00 P.M at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held graveside at North Carolina Church of Christ Cemetery at 1:00 P.M.
