Tam Ngoc Nguyen, age 88, Of Owens Cross Roads, AL passed away Monday, June 27, 2016 at his residence. Visitation will be held Friday July 1, 2016 from 3 :30 to 6:30 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Funeral mass will be held Saturday, July 2, 2016 at 9 am also at Holy Spirit Catholic Church.Mr. Andre Tam Nguyen, age 88, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 27, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving wife of 65 years, Mrs. Cuc Truong, and their children. Born in Sadec, South Vietnam in 1928, Mr. Nguyen moved to Saigon as a young man. There he met his wife and together they raised a family of eight children while he worked at a bank in Saigon until 1975. The family immigrated to the US in 1995, finally settling down in Owens Cross Roads. A loving husband, brother, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, Mr. Nguyen left a legacy of building family bonds to his children and grandchildren. Together with his wife, they helped raise the grandchildren and pass on their cultural heritage. Mr. Tam Nguyen is survived by his wife, eight children, 24 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. His sister and nephew were also by his side. The family wishes to thank the Hospice Family Care nurses and Right at Home personnel for their compassionate care of Mr. Tam Nguyen. Visitation will be from 3:30 to 5:30 PM on Friday July 1st and Funeral Mass will be at 9 AM on Saturday July 2nd, at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 625 Airport Rd. NW, Huntsville AL.
