Lunette Waddell – Obituary

lunetteLunette Waddell, 91, of Rogersville passed away Monday, June 20th, 2016 with her family by her side after a long term illness. She was a long-time Rogersville resident and member of Rogersville United Methodist Church. After graduating from Lauderdale County High School she attended college in Nashville and worked for the U.S. Navy in Washington D.C. After retiring from the Navy she returned home to Rogersville and spent many years tirelessly taking care of her family. She traveled extensively and saw much of the world. She was a faithful supporter of her church and worked at Fish and Loaves food pantry and a faithful sponsor of Christian Children’s Fund and supported many children over the years.
Visitation will be Saturday, June 24th, 2016 from 2 – 3 p.m. at Rogersville United Methodist Church with funeral service to follow. Robert Lancaster will officiate. Burial will be in Civitan Cemetery.
Ms. Waddell was preceded in death by her parents, Bob & Flossie Waddell; sister, Robbie (Joe) Hazlewood and nephew, Joe Bob (Suzie) Hazlewood. She is survived by her sister, Hilda Dison; nephews, Johnnie (Angela) Hazlewood, Max (Sharon) Hazlewood, Bob (Aletha) Dison and Jonathan (Larissa) Dison.
