Mabel Taylor “Gran” Pierce of Russellville was born on May 14, 1924 to the late Harry and Pearl Bagwell Taylor. She died on June 3, 2016 at the age of 92.
She was preceded in death by her husband Harold “Papa” Pierce, brothers Durwood and his wife Elizabeth “Mama” Taylor and David and his wife Beulah Taylor, son Harold David “Piercey”, daughter and son-in-law Linda and Wayne Woodruff, grandson James Herston, and great granddaughter Savannah Brooke Herston.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Dorothy and Reggie Herston, grandchildren Wendy Sandusky and her husband Michael, Angie Thorn and her husband George, John Herston and his wife Allison and Amanda Hickman and her husband David; 11 great grandchildren, Greg and his wife Brittney, Rachel, Rio, and her husband Rodney, Aaron and his wife Carley, Eric, Linden and her husband Robert, Alexander, Isaac, Clair, Ian, Eli, and Taylor Cate; 4 great great grandchildren, Riley, Reanna, Raya, Maddox, and by nieces and nephews and many adopted families.
There will be a memorial service on Sunday, June 5, 2016 at 6:00 P.M. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Russellville, AL.
