Emogene Brakefield Thompson, age 89 of Birmingham, passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at UAB Hospital.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 12:00 PM at Collins-Burke Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Collins-Burke Chapel, with burial at New Prospect Baptist Church. Howard Thompson and Delmus Anthony will officiate.
Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by her Father-Thomas Cleveland Brakefield; Mother-Rodena Hudson Brakefield; Husband-William Bryan Thompson; Sisters-Lucille Benson, Ruth Sproul, Mildred Elkins, Anna Jeanette Jones; Brothers-William Thomas Brakefield, Carl Camp Brakefield, Sam Brakefield, Charles Bruce Brakefield.
She is survived by her Daughter-Patsy Jane Thompson; Son-Cleveland Bryan Thompson.
