Myrtle Josephine Dugger age 89 of Athens, passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at her residence. Mrs. Dugger was born August 31, 1926 to Mark Colwell and Ola Mitchell Colwell.
Services will be Friday, May 27, 2016 12:00 p.m., at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Smith and Bro. Scott Travis officiating. Visitation will be Friday, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
Mrs. Dugger was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by her husband, James Dugger; one son, Gerald Dugger; one granddaughter, Syb Dugger.
Survived by two sons, Jimmy Dugger and Glen Dugger and wife, Sandra; two daughters, Kathy Sims and husband, Larry and Janette Kyle and husband, Gerald; 7 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Randall Colwell and wife, Geneter, Ralph Colwell and wife, Kaye; two sisters, Barbara Haynes and Marie Overmyer; sister-in-laws, Margaret Lorene Lovell, Florence Bowen, Betty Wales and husband, Pete and Doris Miller; several nieces and nephews to 5th generations.
Pallbearers will be Rodney Dugger, Andy Dugger, David Barrett, Earl Glaze, Joey Russell and Todd Stovall. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Smith, Brody Smith, Colton Dugger, Jimmy Lynne Dugger, Bryant Royals, Hudson Stovall, Little Joe Russell and Nathan Glaze.
