Orlan Dee Hickman was born May 4, 1934 in McNairy County, TN the son of the late Henry and Virgie Glover Hickman.
He was united in marriage to Mary Siler on January 30, 1952. To this union two daughters were born-Phyllis Diane and Deborah Lynn. In 1960, Mr. Hickman married Maxine Copeland. Another daughter was added to the family-Tracy Darlene. Mr. Hickman married Barbara Gifford Winker on February 7, 2009.
Mr. Hickman retired as a self-employed construction worker, working with drywall and as a carpenter. He enjoyed watching wrestling and old movies, listening to country music, hunting, and fishing. Mr. Hickman attended the South Corinth Baptist Church in Corinth, MS.
Mr. Hickman departed this life on May 15, 2016 in Bethel Springs, Tennessee at the age of 82 Years, 11 Days. He is survived by his wife Barbara Gifford Winker Hickman; three daughters: Phyllis Diane Harris of Pinson, TN, Deborah Lynn Stanfill of Jackson, TN, and Tracy Darlene Hickman of Bethel Springs, TN; five grandchildren: Jennifer Cathey Stephenson, David G. Bryan, Chere’ Stanfill Todd, Jason Stanfill, and Shawn (Tadpole) Hickman; eight great-grandchildren: Jessica Hiedleberg, Zach Cole, Julian Stephenson, Jett Stephenson, Jadon Stanfill, Madelyn Foged, Skyler Bryan, and Tristan Bryan; a great-great-grandchild, Porter McConaughy; a sister, Genell Matlock and husband Wilson of Bethel Springs, TN; a brother, Vernon Hickman of Bethel Springs, TN; and many extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Hickman was preceded in death by a sister, Ruby Price, and seven brothers: Gibb Hickman, Bernice Hickman, Ed Hickman, Cecil Hickman, Landoff Hickman, Teeney Hickman, and Norvel Hickman.
