MUSCLE SHOALS – Lots of folks are having some good ol Carnival fun this week down in Mike’s Merchandise parking lot. Shoals CASA, an advocacy center for abused and neglected children, is holding its annual Spring Carnival to raise money. CASA is operated by some really great folks. Executive Director, Andrea Holt works tirelessly week-in week-out with her co-workers and local Judges to protect and improve the lives of many at-risk children. Many of these boys and girls are put in harm’s way because of their care givers’ abuse of both prescription and non-prescription drugs and alcohol.

The Quad Cities Daily was over at the carnival the other day to take some photos. It was great fun seeing some of our friends from University Chevy Buick GMC, who are helping to sponsor the event. And we also found our friend Sandy Noland of KISSFM out there having fun doing some radio remote broadcasts. We managed to twist Sandy’s arm to break away from work for a couple of minutes to take a few rides. He was joined by Jake Rogers of University. It just goes to show that big kids can have fun at a carnival too!

If you would like to take part and have fun benefitting some children here in the Shoals, be sure to make your way out to the carnival. It runs through Saturday the 21st of May.
