Mrs. Sandra Dee Pope Zbynski, 55, died Thursday, May 12, 2016 at North MS Medical Center following an extended illness. She was a life-long resident of Tupelo, born March 24, 1961 to David H. Pope and Nell Pope. She was a graduate of Tupelo High School and attended Ole Miss. She married Timothy Dale Zbynski in 1992 and worked at North MS Medical Center for 16 years, where she was a ward Secretary, and United Blood Services. She was a great conversationalist and was a friend to many. She enjoyed making blueberry jam, gardening and flowers. Sandra was a member of Harrisburg Baptist Church.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be at 1 PM, Sunday, May 15, 2016 in the Tupelo Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors with Bro. James Tidwell officiating. Visitation will be from noon to service time only. Condolences may be e-mailed to hollandfuneraldirectors@comcast.net.
Sandra is survived by her husband, Tim Zbynski of Palmetto, her son, Zack Zbynski and his fiancé, Callie Waldo of Shannon. Her father, David Pope of Tupelo. Her sister, Pam Hester of Tupelo and a nephew, Michael D. Hester. her beloved dogs, Daisy, Chloe and Buddy and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Nell, her father in law, Richard “Dick” Zbynski (Ruby), a brother in law, Ricky and her 19 year old pooch, Christy.
