Roxie Murphy Villers, age 93, of Florence, Alabama, died, Monday, May 9, 2016. The visitation will be Friday, May 13th from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 pm. at Morrison Funeral Home, Central Heights. The funeral will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Clint Hart will be officiating. Interment will be at Murphy’s Chapel Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by Roxie and Ed Balentine’s young son, Bennie Balentine; her father John Wiley Murphy and mother Icie Fene Horton Murphy, siblings; Odella Smith, Carrie Robbins, Virgie Akers, Ruby Price, George Murphy, Eunice Bevis, Mary Rich, Charlie Murphy, Woodrow Murphy, Nevada Newton, Lola Hart, and Mildred Campa.
Survivors include her husband; Charles Villers; sons; Arnold Ray Balentine and James Earl Balentine, Charles T. Villers and Daniel B. Villers; daughters, Linda Mae Balentine and Linda Susan (Villers) Stevens; and Roxie’s youngest sister, Dorothy Murphy Malone; fifteen grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren.
