On May 8th, 2016 Mrs. Voncile Brewer Goolsby, 78, of Florence, departed this earth to be with God in heaven. She was a devoted Christian, wife, mother, and mamaw. She loved her husband, daughters, grandsons, and all her friends and family, and more importantly, the good Lord above. We love her and will miss her dearly. She will live in our hearts forever.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 10, 2016 from 6 – 8 p.m. at Florence Boulevard Church of Christ. The funeral service will be Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at 2 p.m. at the church with Dale Boren and Mike Baker officiating. Burial will follow in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Goolsby was preceded in death by her parents, Wiley and Jennie Brewer.
She is survived by her husband, Harlon Goolsby of Florence; daughters, Sharon Voncile Goolsby of Tuscumbia, Charlotte Patricia Williams (Greg) of Phil Campbell, Ala.; sister, Selma Wilson of Evergreen, Ala.; grandchildren, Dillon Lee and Trenton Cole Harris both of Phil Campbell, and Austin Tide Goolsby of Tuscumbia.
Pallbearers will be Dillon Lee Harris, Trenton Cole Harris, Austin Tide Goolsby, Gene Gooch, Clanton Poole, and George Cooper.
