John Michael Hare, 53, died Friday, May 6, 2016, at his home in the Greenwood Community. He was a member of the Greenwood Baptist Church. He had worked as a butcher in the meat department of various grocery stores since he was fifteen years old. He was the owner and operator of Hare’s Deer Processing for many years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and anything where he was enjoying the outdoors.

Services will be at 11 a. m. Monday, May 9, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Bro. Jackie Gray officiating. Burial will be in the Keyes Cemetery.

Survivors include his caregiver and companion, Patty Boyd, and her children, Marc Weaver (Davlynn) of Guntown and Christie Sims (Alex) of West Point; his father, John Hare of Fulton; his mother, Shirley Gentry of Lexington, TN; one sister, Crystal Grimes (Danny) of Fulton; one niece, Melissa Grimes of Starkville; one nephew, Christopher Grimes of Tupelo; his aunt, Brenda Hare; his cousin, Mandi McMillen (Jeff), and their daughter, Kaylie, all of Peppertown; special friends, Richie Gray, Lanis Moore, Wayne Loden, Rodney Sheffield, Ewing “Woody” Wood.

He was preceded in death by his step-mother, Alice Faye Hare; his grandparents, J.H. and Edna Earl Hare; his uncle, Bobby Joe Hare; and his cousin, Jimmy Hare.

Pallbearers will be Andrew” Skip” Kelly, Reggie Anderson, John Robinson, Brad Reese, Brian Reese, and Reggie Russell.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p. m. Sunday, May 8, and from 10 a. m. until service time Monday, May 9, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Fulton.
